State of Black Arizona Community Luminaries 2009

Community Luminaries work tirelessly to make a difference. They volunteer at our local hospitals, schools, churches and more. Consistently, they selflessly devote their time and efforts, going above and beyond without thought of reward or recognition.

The 2009 State of Black Arizona Luminary Selection Committee received nominations from across the state to identify special individuals, adult and youth.  The committee selected 13 diligent and deserving unsung sheroes and heroes.  All are assets to the community, affecting change and contributing to the quality of life in our cities and the state of Arizona.
